Course description
This 2-day workshop gives participants the skills and techniques they need to design and develop effective instruction applying proven methods and a systematic development approach. From front-end analysis to piloting the finished product, this course uses extensive hands-on activities and cases to teach the fundamentals of good instructional design.

You will learn a proven, systematic, instructional development method, including the stages of "ADDIE," the classic instructional design model.

  • Determining training architecture

  • Creating practices and evaluations
  • Identifying/creating participant materials
  • Piloting your training
  • Planning the implementation
  • Ongoing evaluation (formative and summative)

  • 2 days of intensive, hands-on instruction by a Certified Master Instructor
  • 200-page Training Reference Manual detailing all concepts and techniques taught
  • CD-ROM containing I-Guide™ formatting software for rapid instructor guide development
  • All job-aids and worksheets used during the training

Delivery options and pricing

Option #1: In-house, classroom training

2 days of hands-on training delivered at your facilities by a Certified PTA instructor

Class size: 5 to 20 (recommended)

Select a time and location convenient for your team or department

Fee includes all instruction and course materials

Ideal for intact work groups and departments seeking a standard approach to instructional design and development

Commercial rate: $995 per participant
GSA rate: $795 per participant

Note: Fee reductions and contract pricing are available for commensurate annual training demand.



Option #2: Instructor Certification Program

If you anticipate training a large number of staff annually within your organization, you might consider certifying your own instructor(s) to teach the workshop within your organization. This option provides maximum flexibility for conducting training and reduces training costs.
